NBC sets premiere dates for Heche comedy, Bear Grylls series
LOS ANGELES, April 16. (RTRS): NBC released its schedule of summer debut dates Monday, revealing when the Anne Heche comedy “Save Me” and the adventure competition series “Get Out Alive With Bear Grylls” will hit America’s living rooms with megawatt force.
“Get Out Alive With Bear Grylls,” which will feature “Man vs. Wild” alum Grylls leading 10 teams of two through the unforgiving landscape of New Zealand’s South Island,” will premiere Monday, July 8 at 9 p.m.
“Save Me,” which stars Heche as a Midwestern mother and wife who undergoes a spiritual awakening after having a near-death experience, will premiere with back-to-back episodes on Thursday, May 23, starting at 8 p.m.

The Esquire Network won’t be launching as soon as expected.
The NBCUniversal rebrand of the G4 Network, which was due to kick off April 22, will now launch in the summer, in order to add more programs to its roster.
“We have an opportunity to launch with more original programming than we had envisioned,” Esquire Network general manager Adam Stotsky said Monday. “In order to give our viewers a more substantial program offering that showcases the breadth of the Esquire Network, we are pushing our rebrand to the summer.”
The network’s previously greenlit original programs include the Ryan Seacrest-produced “How I Rock It,” on which NBAAll-Star Baron Davis pro- filing an array of athletes, musicians, celebrities and other personalities; and “Risky Listing,” which will explore the “exclusive, intensely competitive world of New York nightlife real estate.” Both of those series had previously been slated for summer premieres.
The new venture, the product of a deal between NBCUniversal and Hearst Magazines, plans to plans to continue G4’s focus on technology and gaming, while branching out into “entertainment, food, fashion, women, humor, travel, competition, danger and more.”
