THE five permanent member-nations in the Security Council, along with Germany, have approved a deal with Iran to lift sanctions imposed on it for six months. This is in addition to the fact that the progress achieved in its nuclear program and its commitment to international will are taken into consideration to lift the remaining sanctions. Otherwise, the sanctions lifted as per the deal approved a few days ago will be imposed again.
Definitely, the USA, the European Union and Russia are all behind the agreement with Iran. The American President defended the agreement last Sunday. The entire world and most Arab countries are happy with this agreement.
Only Benjamin Netanyahu screamed, rejecting the agreement which, he alleged, serves the interests of Iran one hundred percent. He claimed this is what Iran has been waiting for in order to go ahead in its nuclear program, although Israel and its rightist prime minister have been the only enemies of the Arabs for 70 years.
Israel occupied Palestine and made its people homeless. It is one of the key reasons behind our incessant backwardness because some of the rulers deceived us, saying the battle with Israel is endless. However, this did not free the occupied land. In addition, we did not achieve democracy or development!
In spite of that, some opportunists from the Brotherhood and Salafists appear occasionally to depict a certain image — that Iran is our first enemy, not Israel. Like Netanyahu, they were hurt by the endorsement of the agreement with Iran. One of the senior members of the Brotherhood in Kuwait — a consultant — competed with Netanyahu in crying over the agreement. The grounds of this opportunist are sectarian.
These people are used to provoking sectarian feelings despite knowing that sectarianism burns homelands and
destroys national unity. The tough opportunists among the Brotherhood and Salafist members are keen on destroying homelands, particularly after their dreams were shattered and the ‘country’ of the Brotherhood in Egypt was thrown into the trash bin of history, as well as the revelation of the reality that the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (DA’ESH) — a tough movement which accuses whoever does not accept its ideologies of being non-believer — belongs to al-
