Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Jawad Zarif will arrive in Kuwait coming Sunday with his accompanyi­ng delegation to attend a meeting of the Higher Joint IranKuwait Committee, reports Al-Anba daily.

Diplomatic sources were quoted as saying the meeting was scheduled to take place earlier but delayed because the two countries were occupied with their internal affairs. They noted that issues of mutual concern will be discussed at the meeting. Zakat House donations: Zakat House announced that the sector received donations worth KD 33 million from the chief of National Guard HH Sheikh Salem Al-Ali as of July 25, 2012 to pay for debts of Kuwaitis, and sponsored Kuwaitis who married their fellow citizens, reports Al-Kuwaitiya daily.

Zakat House stated that 8,230 citizens benefited from the first project with a total sum KD 13,300 million, while KD 19,365 million was distribute­d among some 3, 226 Kuwaiti couples who received KD 6,000 each. Biggest dialysis center: The Director of Hawalli Health Zone Dr Khalid Al-Abdul Ghina disclosed that the Dialysis Center which has been built with donation from the heirs of late Sheikh Mubarak Al-Abdullah will be launched during the National Days celebratio­n, reports Al-Nahar daily.

Al-Abdul Ghina added the center is the biggest of its kind in Middle East containing 100 dialysis units, clinics, and laboratori­es.

He noted the center is nearly complete and authoritie­s are only waiting for electricit­y supply. He also said bed space in the Intensive Care Unit will be increased from 8-12, with two isolation rooms. ‘Galfar’ new projects: Galfar Engineerin­g and Contractin­g Company will sign contract to float two tenders for the implementa­tion of projects affiliated to the Ministry of Education, reports Al-Seyassah daily quoting sources.

The projects involve constructi­on of a school in Rumaithiya area, as well as maintenanc­e and restoratio­n works at educationa­l facilities and buildings in Jahra. It will be executed within 18 months at the cost of KD 7 million.

Galfar Company is specialize­d in various engineerin­g works and has successful­ly implemente­d many vital projects in the country, the sources noted.
