14 expatriates caught driving without license to be deported
Three persons assault citizen, rob KD 63,400
KUWAIT CITY, May 2: Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs at Ministry of Interior Major General Abdullah AlMuhanna revealed that 14 expatriates will be deported after they were caught driving without a drivers’ license based on the ministerial decision that was issued one week ago, reports Al-Rai daily.
Major General Al-Muhanna explained that the arrested individuals include 6 Egyptians, 1 American, 1 Bosnian, 1 Iraqi, 1 Lebanese, 1 Syrian and 3 Indians.
He revealed that nearly 1,000 individuals were arrested in the last six months for driving without a license, affirming that their actions reflect their disregard for the country’s laws due to which the ministry will not be complacent about it. He added that the country’s law is the red line that should be respected by everyone. According to a security source, the Kuwaiti citizen lodged a complaint at Hawally Police Station, accusing three individuals he knows of crashing into his vehicle from rear, assaulting him and robbing him of KD 63,400 in his possession before driving off.
