EQUATE continues its partnership with FSRI
KUWAIT CITY, May 2: Serving vulnerable children with disabilities who cannot afford treatment EQUATE Petrochemical Company, Kuwait’s first international joint-venture in this industry, has continued its partnership with Fawzia Sultan Rehabilitation Institute (FSRI) by supporting the non-profit Children’s Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center (CERC).
The program includes evaluation and rehabilitation for a number of children treated by a team including pediatric physiotherapy, functional/occupational therapy, psychology, as well as speech and communication therapy. The partnership has made it possible for 204 children to receive proper treatment which they could not afford.
EQUATE Corporate Communications Leader Kholoud Al-Feeli said, “EQUATE believes that children are the future of Kuwait and the world as a whole. Our support is reflected in our sustainability strategy, which places a great significance on the well-being of children in terms of health and medical treatment. This is reflected in our partnership with FSRI, which began during 2013, to provide funding for individuals in need of treatment under the supervision of qualified professionals.”
On her part, FSRI President Dr Elham Al-Hamdan said, “FSRI has a strong commitment to creating access to high quality rehabilitative care for children with disability, including children with limited resources. EQUATE, through their early support of our children’s clinic, have given us the chance to serve many vulnerable children, and improve the quality of their lives, and their families’ lives.”
