Zain marks Earth Day with staff
Firm takes part in global environmental initiative
KUWAIT CITY, May 2: In efforts to outline its sense of responsibility towards achieving and sustaining a healthy environment, Zain, the leading telecommunications company in Kuwait, celebrated Earth Day with its employees in the presence of company officials at Zain’s headquarters in Shuwaikh.
Zain continues to hold this internal activity each year as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability strategies towards the environmental sector. The company was keen to participate and involve employees in this international initiative by organizing a number of activities that drove awareness.
The interactive activities all served as an excellent platform to encourage employees to adopt greener alternatives within their personal and professional lives. The activities involved presentations by several youth organizations and volunteer groups who showcased their green products and services to Zain employees. The products and services presented included healthy foods, plants, and eco-friendly products. The event fell under Zain’s CSR outlook, part of which is focused on engaging employees in socially awareness campaigns.
The Earth Day event also included a photography corner which gave employees the chance to take pictures together to remember the occasion. Some of the company’s corridors were decorated
responsible with artificial green plants, emphasizing the theme of Earth Day.
Zain will continue in its efforts to transform the wider environments it operates in into healthier and greener places through its own internal and external initiatives.
