The evening included renditions of Latin, English, French, German, and Polish canons and marked the first performance of polyphonic music in Kuwait.

Project

Baginska began working on the project “Cantores Maiores” from January 2014. In previous choral projects between 2010-2013, Baginska and her team performed homophonic music. Her earlier projects include the Embassy Vocal Ensemble “The Polish Singers” which aimed at popularizing Polish music in Kuwait, the ‘’Music Semper Viva’’ which showcased Polish folk tradition, “Music from Mazurka’s Land” which consisted of traditional, army and popular songs, as well as instrumental dance music, and the more international “Musica Lingua Mundi’’.

“Cantores Maiores” choir is young but filled with talented people coming from different cultural backgrounds and many countries: Egypt, India, Kuwait, Oman, Philippines, Poland, Sweden and USA, brought together by a common love for music. Baginska artistic vision is employed in perfecting vocal abilities of the singers and combining the members of the choir into a single, perfect and most beautiful musical instrument - the human voice.
