Bonus for 600 teachers OK’d: Director of Job Organization and Budgeting at the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Bader Al-Hamad has approved the excellent performance bonus for 600 male and female non-Kuwaiti teachers who had earlier protested against their exclusion from the list of beneficiaries, reports AlSeyassah daily quoting sources.
Sources revealed these teachers were appointed under second and third contracts as well as wages at the Ministry of Education. Sources explained the decision was based on the rules and regulations set by the ministry to avoid committing violations against the commission and its finance counterpart. Sources added the calculation of the maximum bonus depends on the degree of appointment for each teacher and in accordance with ministerial decision number 9/2010. Kazakhstan offers condolences: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah AlAhmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Monday received a cable from Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev who expressed his condolences and sympathy over the victims of the terrorist attack that hit a mosque in Kuwait city on Friday.
Nazarbayev voiced in his cable utter rejection to such abhorrent terrorist acts that run contrary to religions and human laws and ethics. He reiterated solidarity with Kuwait.
The terrorist attack that targeted Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque in Al-Sawaber area of Kuwait city during Friday noon prayer claimed the lives of 27 people and injured 227 others.
In reply, His Highness the Amir sent the president of Kazakhstan a cable appreciating his warm sentiments and good feelings. (KUNA)
