Kuwait donates $466,500 to Jordan
AMMAN, June 29, (KUNA): Kuwaiti Ambassador to Jordan Dr. Hamad Al-Duaij delivered on Monday to Jordan a total donation of $466,500 to build a school and support orphans’ care programs, offered by Kuwait authorities.
Social Reform Society (SRS) offered a total donation of $301,500 in support of orphans care programs in Jordan via SRF office in Jordan, Al-Duaij said in remarks to KUNA today.
Kuwait-based Zakat house offered $165,000 to build a school in Al-Mafraq city northern Jordan, to secure education to the Syrian refugees. Belgium offers condolence: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah AlAhmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Monday received a cable of condolences from King Philippe of Belgium on the blast that targeted Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque in central Kuwait City.
King Philippe condemned the terrorist attack and noted that Belgium supports Kuwait in facing this criminal act. (KUNA)

This donation is part of the humanitarian support for the Syrian refugees and orphans in Jordan in response to instructions of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the diplomat affirmed, SRS board of directors’ member-Jordan office Saleh Al-Faqeeh said in remarks to KUNA that the Kuwaiti donation reflects the Kuwaiti distinguished humanitarian role in various parts of the world.
He hailed the role of the Kuwaiti embassy in Jordan in facilitating the process of distributing the Kuwaiti aid and donations to Jordan.
SRF in Jordan works from 1997 in offering Kuwaiti releif to people in need, he added.
