‘Renew contract of Catholic Church’s plot’:

Acting Undersecretary at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Waleed Al-Khubaizi asked Kuwait Municipality to hasten in completing the procedures related to renewing the contract of the plot allocated to the main Catholic church of Kuwait in AlQibla area, reports Al-Rai daily quoting informed sources.

They revealed that Al-Khubaizi’s demand coincides with the upcoming visit of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah to Vatican on September 9-11, 2015 to meet Pope Francis.

The sources said he requested Director of Kuwait Municipality Eng. Ahmad Al-Subaih to ensure the procedures are completed and to provide Ministry of Foreign Affairs with necessary approvals so that Ministry of Finance can take the required legal procedures in this regard.
