‘Union holds awareness forums for fishermen’:

Chairman of Kuwait Fishermen Union Dhahar Al-Souyan affirmed that the union is committed to protecting the fish resource, considering its significance as a major aspect of food self-sufficiency, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

He declared that the union has been regularly collaborating with the concerned authorities in organizing awareness forums for fishermen to highlight the regulations guiding their activities.

Al-Souyan commended the efforts exerted by the Coast Guard and the Assistant Undersecretary for Border Security Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Al-Yousef. He described the Coast Guard as the watchful eyes that protect the country by securing the continental shelf.
