‘Need to maintain Salmiya cemetery’

Incessant rain has flattened the graves in Ras Salmiya cemetery. Calls are out

MP Dr Abdulrahma­n Al-Jeeran affirmed that his grilling request against Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Bader Al-Essa will depend on the outcome of a meeting he will hold with the minister on Thursday afternoon, indicating that the discussion­s during the meeting will be about several observatio­ns and aspects related to the sector.

He declared that fixing the time for the interpella­tion will depend on the responsive­ness of the minister about the education-related issues as well as the observatio­ns of the State Audit Bureau regarding the tenders in the ministry, administra­tive issues and violations committed in Kuwait University and Public Authority for Applied Education and Training.

Meanwhile, MP Abdullah Al-Mayouf declared that he was not convinced by the overwhelmi­ng support in favor of Minister of Social Affairs and Labor following the grilling against her by MP Tana. However, he denied any intention to submit another grilling against the minister.

Regarding the purported plan of Equate Petrochemi­cal Company to take over the M. E. Global Company, MP Abdullah Al-Turaiji said he wonders if this informatio­n is true.

He urged government to not stay idle about this deal because “it is unreasonab­le to take control of a company that the Dow Chemical Company is trying to get rid of”.

Al-Turaiji reminded the government that the effects of breaching the K-Dow contract continue to represent a heavy burden for the State of Kuwait.

In addition, it has been reported that MP Hamdan Al-Azmi is planning to grill Minister of Health Dr Ali AlObeidi Thursday or Sunday regarding medical errors and associated deaths. release, Al-Otaibi spoke of carrying out maintenanc­e at this cemetery and building of walls which have been damaged either by weather or by human beings saying many of our dead are buried there. He added, he must honor their last resting places.
