IKFS announces bus trip: Indo-Kuwait Friendship Society has arranged trips to various destinations such as heritage areas in deserts, Failaka Islands, free entry to Kuwait Museum and other various attractive monuments in Kuwait.
IKFS is inviting family, children, and all interested parties to register their name as soon as possible. The first luxury bus trip will start on Oct 30, and have only limited seats. Scrabble sessions are back: Scrabble sessions are back for all to come, learn and play with us at Better Books, Salmiyah, Bldg 19, next to Badur Travel, opposite the Ministry of Private Education, on Friday afternoons from 2:30-5:30 pm. Holy Quran classes: Emanway Foundation – Musk is offering classes to teach English-speaking ladies (and girls ages 5 and up) to read the Holy Quran in Arabic. The method is al-Qaedah Noorania, a traditional program which has been used for many years around the world. (Note: ‘Al-Qaedah’ simply means ‘base’; this can be likened to a basic phonics program.) SIFK National Engineers Day: Science International Forum Kuwait (SIFK) will be celebrating the National Engineers Day on Oct 30, 2015, at the Khaitan Indian Community School from 5:00 pm onwards.
The IGNITE science writing competition, held in tribute to the late Dr APJ, Abdul Kalam will be awarded. The theme for this year was, “A Journey To Mars”.
The guest speaker of the day will be Professor D. Chandra Shaker from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT ), Delhi. The subject of the day will be, “Engineers Role In Tomorrow’s India”. This will be followed by an interactive session for children on “How To Get Into IITs”.
