Mechanism eyed for ‘permits’:

Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Manpower Ahmad Mussa met with government authorities in charge of governmental contracts to lay down a mechanism for the issuance of work permits for projects and governmental contracts, reports Al-Anba daily.

Sources explained the issuance of such work permits will be based on the phases of the projects and the laborers required in each phase. Sources disclosed the work permits will be issued only after completing the first phase. Sources said the number of manpower for each phase is determined by the authority which oversees the implementation of the project, not the company. This is in addition to the electronic link between government authorities and Central Tenders Committee (CTC) to monitor and supervise the procedures for the movement of laborers. (KUNA)
