Hoffmannia

Hoffmannia is a genus of plant in family Rubiaceae. The leaves are dark velvety green above and purple-red beneath and are about 1 foot long and up to 3 inches wide. The flowers are star-shaped, yellow with red spot, appearing in clusters along the stems.

Site: This plant favours shady spots, avoid exposing it to direct sunrays, especially during the warmest hours of the day. Well-lit but away from direct sunlight.

Temperature: Average warmth, 60-85°F (16-29°C) – minimum 60°F in winter.

Water: Keep compost moist at all times from spring to autumn – water moderately in winter.
