‘National celebrations make success’

All efforts must be consecrated to bring total success to a number of national celebrations covering the period 2015-2016, said Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah on Wednesday.

He made that statement to KUNA after chairing a meeting of the permanent committee in charge of overseeing national celebrations over which he presides.

He noted that the meeting discussed holding celebrations of the 25th year since Kuwait’s liberation from the Iraqi invasion, the 10th year since His Highness the Amir acceded to power, and the occasion of naming His Highness Sheikh Nawaf AlJaber Al-Sabah Crown Prince.

He said the committee meeting today also discussed preparations for Flag Day which will take place on Feb 25, 2016 and preparations for staging a national operetta in 2016. (KUNA)
