Zain main sponsor of Youth Empowerment
‘Firm’s support shows its strong belief in youth’
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 11: Zain, the leading telecommunications company in Kuwait, announced its main sponsorship of the fourth edition of the Youth Empowerment Symposium, which was held under the patronage of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber AlSabah from Nov 9-10.
HH the Amir’s representative, HE Sheikh Salman Al-Homoud Al-Sabah, Minister of Information and Minster of State for Youth Affairs, honored Zain Kuwait’s Corporate Communications and Relations Director Waleed Al-Khashti for Zain’s strategic support to the symposium for four consecutive years.
Zain has been a main sponsor of the Youth Empowerment Symposium since its inception four years ago, as the company’s support comes in line with its long term strategy of providing the necessary support to national initiatives aimed at uplifting the capabilities and skills of Kuwaiti youth. The symposium is considered an ideal opportunity for young people in Kuwait, especially those who are interested in launching their own businesses, to gain valuable insights from a number of internationally and locally renowned industry pioneers, academics, and experts who exclusively shared their experiences.
During the opening ceremony, Waleed Al-Khashti commented: “there is no doubt that Zain’s support of this national initiative since its inception stands as an indication of the company’s strong belief in the youth and the importance of their development across all fields of activity.”
Al-Khashti added: “we believe Kuwaiti youth possess great potential that only requires the slightest encouragement from industry leaders. Our support of the symposium is our own way of providing youth with a rich environment that provides local and international expertise at its best.”
Al-Khashti concluded: “this year’s edition has a special essence to it as it features a number of local and international experts and pioneers in the fields of business, information technology, economics, and social media who will share their personal experiences and highlight the importance of building oneself through education.”
