‘Intervention cause of instability’

Mideast bears the brunt

-

“THOSE who want to know the extent of the Iranian influence in the Iraqi policy should go through a piece of news which talks about the Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi turning down a direct Iranian request which was conveyed to him by the commander of the Iranian ‘Jerusalem Corps’ Qasim Sulaimani (who is also responsible for the Iraqi dossier) requesting Al-Abadi to take back his decision to ‘sack’ Nouri Al-Maliki as vice-president,” columnist

wrote for daily.

“We are not concerned about the purport of the news in question nor about its details, rather we are concerned about the Iraqi-Iranian relations at the political level and the gross Iranian intervention in the internal affairs of Iraq since this intervention has given rise to sectarian discords and doctrinal struggles between the Iraqis and gangs of the so-called ‘Popular Mobilization’.

“In other words this intervention has resulted in inverting the Iraqi situations on the ground and paved the way for the Islamic State (IS) organization or the so-called ‘DAESH’ to impose its domination in many parts of Iraq.

“In this connection we say Tehran has also intervened in Yemen and created a state of bloody struggle among this unified society — the struggle that has also resulted in displacing scores of Yemeni families and claimed the lives of hundreds of people in Sana’a.

“In spite of the above, Iran was cheating us by claiming it doesn’t interfere in the internal affairs of Yemen or supporting the Al-Houthi Movement in the province of Sa’ada from the beginning of the conflict until now ignoring the fact that it was crystal clear that Tehran was planning to occupy Sana’a.

“Apart from the above, Iran has been militarily interfering in Syria and this became evident through the appearance of the so-called ‘barrel bombs’ dropped on the people in Syria following Tehran’s intervention in the internal affairs of Damascus, given the fact these barrel bombs are currently killing a lot of innocent Syrians on a daily basis.

“Not just that, Iran has praised Russia’s military intervention in Syria and particularly appreciated the airstrikes which are carried out by the Russian Air Force on Syrian cities and villages on a daily basis in the name of pursuing elements of DAESH, but in reality the Russian airstrikes are targeting the Syrians.

“It is needless to say the complications currently besetting the Syrian crisis can be foremost attributed to the Iranian intervention in the internal affairs of the Middle Eastern countries.

“Speaking of the Iranian intervention in Lebanon and its influence in the southern part of that country, one can recall how Tehran had earlier denied supporting the Lebanese Hezbollah, but at last it had to reluctantly confess to its intervention in the internal affairs of Lebanon and that this intervention was actually behind the crisis which currently faces the Lebanese.

“In other words, the Lebanese because of the Iranian influence in their country are currently suffering amid various political and sectarian discords and the Lebanese Parliament until now has held as many as 27 sessions to elect the president, but all has been in vain and this can be mostly attributed to the influence of Iran on some Lebanese parties.

“In conclusion, I would like to pinpoint that all Tehran interventions in the internal affairs of various Middle Eastern countries, can be placed in one scale and the intervention in the internal affairs of Bahrain in the other.”

“History is a testimony to seditions or let us say the Persian wars on Iraq have not stopped since the reign of the Ottoman State between the Turks and the Persians, particularly since we know that Iraq during that time was subjected to the domination of the Ottoman State,” columnist

wrote for Al-Qabas daily.

“However, in spite of our hatred for Saddam Hussein and his sin of occupying Kuwait, it is needless to say Saddam during the Iraq-Iran war had impeded the Persian expansionism in Iraq, Kuwait and the Gulf region at large, particularly since we know that this war lasted for many years during which a lot of Iranians and Iraqis died, but it goes without saying the Iranian victims during this war far exceeded the Iraqis.

“In this context, we recall how all the Gulf states including Kuwait had supported Iraq during this war to such an extent, Kuwait, for instance, had opened its borders and ports for Iraq, but it is needless to say Kuwaiti politics during that time were distinguished with farsightedness.

“However, we hereby would like to cite the thesis for ‘Masters Degree’ prepared by the Iraqi researcher Mohammad Hameed Mohammad under the title ‘The Iranian Armament and Its Impacts on the Arabian Gulf Security from 1921 up to 1979’. This thesis has been submitted to the Iraqi Arab History and the Scientific Heritage Institute, because this thesis revolves around the danger of the Iranian armament against the Gulf region.

“Anyway, these days, may be the ‘imperialists’ will play their role to prolong the Gulf concerns and upsets by allowing Iran to posses various types of sophisticated military weapons including nuclear, and this was evident through these countries’ endeavors to prolonging the conflicts involving the Syrian, Iraqi and even the Islamic State (IS) organizations or the so-called ‘DAESH’ to keep the entire region suffering from unrest and instability by eventually enabling Iran to strengthen itself to transform it into a persistent threat to the entire region through an ambiguous policy.

“Notwithstanding, the Iranian armament as the Iraqi researcher Mohammad Hameed Mohammad said in his thesis in question, can affect the security of the Gulf region now and in future, hence, I would like to call on everybody to benefit from this study and all the related studies.

“Anyway, the Gulf can offset the Iranian armament by getting rid of the reason for it which is represented by putting pressure on Tehran by the United States of America the West and currently Russia to enhance its military might.

“In this context, we say the role currently played by Russia in international politics, particularly in the wake of the victory tasted by Moscow in the face of the volatile policy that was followed by Washington in dealing with various global issues, this policy has actually harmed many Arab countries topped by Syria, Iraq, Libya, Yemen and before that Somalia as these countries continue to suffer from a state of acute division that have torn them apart.

“Apart from the above, we have observed how a lot of countries throughout the world are currently suffering because of the manipulations in US policy because this policy has abandoned these countries to become easy prey for ‘DAESH’ and other terrorist organizations such as Boko Haram of Nigeria.

“In conclusion, we say the Arabian Gulf will continue to suffer because of Iranian maneuvers and Tehran will persist in its adventures and as such we can expect the Gulf to witness the building of many Western military bases and the import of arsenals — sophisticated and unsophisticated military weapons — in this part of the world and this means our foes will continue to frighten us with the Iranian scarecrow as long as the latter exists.”

“We pray to Almighty Allah to help us.”

“Part of the reasons why it has been difficult to control the repeated stealing of public funds is forgetfulness or pretending to be forgetful about the crimes against the state”,

wrote for Al-Nahar daily. “A case of misappropriating public funds hardly dies down when another similar case surfaces in another department. The concerned individuals feel so embarrassed that they work hard to bury the case by making sure the public is busy with a new case!

“People still reserve the right to know the outcomes of the previous cases which were handled without transparency and openness. They want to know whether the case was referred for prosecution or otherwise.

“In this 21st century, it is illogical for us to be seeing and hearing about corruption cases. The government agrees that this is happening, but we have not seen any corrupt official serving jail terms for that purpose. The government should naturally be held responsible for such a situation.

“The reason behind discussing this issue is that some corrupt cases are under investigation recently because a government official confirmed that there were acts of stealing and embezzling of public funds but nobody hears anything about them months after such announcements.”

“When economic, developmental and health, education and sports situation in a poor country with less resources is aggravated then this state has no way out but to apply austerity measures cumbersome to its citizens, but if this is an affordable state and its resources are enormous, but fallen among the swamps of the economic and developmental retardation, the nobody can save this people, only God,” columnist wrote for Al-Jaridah daily.

“We in Kuwait are living in economic pain caused by the successive governments which have failed to bring about reforms, until the economic wheel of the country began moving backwards due to lack of vision, wisdom and impotent economic policies.

“The government and its inability to develop its resources had no choice but to follow the path of failures, waste of public money sans development.

“The strange thing is that the government always works against the clock and ignores time and when a senior official of the World Bank visited Kuwait in November 2014 and persuaded the country to offset its budget deficit by doing away with subsidies, the government did not pay heed to this advice.”

“Finally, if the government is unable to develop its resources to cover the deficit resulting from lower oil prices, what is the guilt of the ordinary citizen who is suffering from the concerns and countless problems?

“There is no doubt that it is annoying and worrying – children affected by the swine flu in one of the private schools since a six-year-old child has been affected, but at the same time, the positive side of this issue is the transparent manner in which the Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Bader Al-Essa has handled the situation and the clarifications he issued during his inspection visits saying the parents are the one who pointed out the health condition of their child who is currently under medical care,” columnist wrote for Al-Sabah daily.

“However, this shows that the case of the child should have been brought to the notice of the authorities by a health supervisor if there was one in the school, which is why, we repeat that it is necessary to have a health supervisor in every school because the role of health supervisors is not less important than that of the social workers, with all due respect, but what we see is the increase of diseases in a scary and worrying manner.

“The Minister is right when he calls upon the private schools to be committed to the educational standards related to the number of students inside classrooms, considering that the surplus in the number of students inside one classroom negatively affects their level of acquiring knowledge as well of their psychological, mental and physical health.”

“Whoever understands the nature of the Turkish Ottoman society, will know that it is a society of nations and not only a society of one-sect, doctrine or race, and from that perspective, the formation of the Justice and Development Party is in concordance with the formation of the Turkish Popular Party, unlike other parties which if they had won would exclude or end the existence of other trends, because they would contribute to the destruction of the country,” columnist

wrote for AlSeyassah daily.

“The Justice and Development Party is following a doctrine different from the one followed by the Sufis, but it doesn’t mean that they will clash, and it doesn’t also mean the party would do away with the Alawiites or drive away the Druze to Serbia, because the Turks are aware that the victory of this party means all different parties are safe and secure.

“And for the record, the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is a religious man and is aware of the human nature as well of the nature of his society, which means he is the real Godfather of Turkey and he deserves to be named the father of Turkish people.

“He has proved through experience that he deserves to be the leader of this nation, and although the Turkish media has gone back to its normal routine after the elections, I like to continue talking about this event because the Arab world needs to take a leaf from the Turkish book.”

“Iran is one of the richest countries in the world, whereas Tehran is home to 10 percent of the world’s oil reserves. It also has the second largest reserves for gas in the world, as well as it has more than three thousand active mines effectively producing various minerals and metals,” columnist

wrote for Al-Anba daily.

“Moreover, Tehran is first in the world in production of agricultural crops, but the irony is with all this wealth, the Iranians are considered to be the poorest people of the world, with more than 40 percent living below the poverty line, as it is one of the world’s most active nation where the sale of human organs and children is rampant because of the need for money and poverty.

“In contrast, the mullahs of the ruling regime in Iran hold the largest personal fortunes in the world and appear on the Forbes magazine. The Iranian leader is worth $95 billion only, and I have a report from Reuters which published about the wealth of the mullahs in Iran estimated to be around $1,300 billion.”

“Several plane crashes and accidents have taken place from the time passenger air services among various countries in the world were introduced. However, no one boycotted any airport like the way Sharm el-Sheikh is being boycotted”,

wrote for Al-Anba daily. “If the European countries and Russia think there is security infiltration in Sharm el-Sheikh airport, why are they sending their planes to the same airport to transport their people? How can they guarantee that another accident or explosion will not take place?

“This apparently seems like an international conspiracy against the Egyptian economy for harming it so that Egypt will end up becoming like Iraq, Syria or Libya.”
