Pakistan Sports Association holds blood donation camp

Over 135 people donate to support noble cause

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 17: Pakistan Sports Association, a well known sports orrganization in Kuwait, organized a its first Blood Donation Camp on Friday, 4th December 2015 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Kuwait Central Blood Bank in Jabriya.

A Noble Cause to Serve the Humanity, Pakistan Sports Association and its members, dedicated themselves volunteering for the different activities of organizing the camp and most notably, a large turnout of its members & associates turned up with enthusiasm honoring the occasion.

HE Muhammad Aslam Khan, Ambassador of Pakistan to Kuwait was the Chief Guest of the event and delivered the Key note address. He was briefed on different stages the donated blood goes through, how it is preserved and how a bottle of donated blood can save up to 3 lives. He also commended and appreciated the efforts of reaching to masses with a great message and achieving a large turnout for such a great cause. Achieving a large turnout for such a great cause, He stated “I am delighted to see such a well-organized, disciplined and successful blood donation camp by Pakistani community organized by Pakistan Sports Association Kuwait. He congratulates and appreciated the efforts made by Pakistan Sports Association in this noble cause of blood donation. He assured all support from Embassy of Pakistan in future as well.

Member OPAC Hafiz Shabbir Ahmed, Pakistan Business Council President Arif Butt, KPFA President Mr. Rana Ijaz, SPDK President Dr.Shuja Ud Din, Co-Sponsors of the event, Managing Director of XPay (Mobile Payment solution) Mr. Mohammad Faisal & GM of AlMansooriya Mr. Shamshad Tanoli, Mr.Naveed Shahzad, Sajjad Naveed, Khalid Qamar from Hala Pakistan, Abid Malik President Pak Media, Mr.Naeem Jan founder KPYS, Azeem Jamil, Mr.Ehsan Kharal, Abdul Shakoor from Nawai-e-Waqt and many more well-known personality from Pakistani Community in Kuwait also graced the occasion & lauded the efforts that are aimed only to serve the community and helping people. Mr.Ali Raza (Ex-President PSA) travelled all the way from Qatar to Support this blood donation drive.

A big number from Pakistani community participated in the event along with many Kuwaiti Citizens, India, Egyptian, Filipino, Nepalese and People from other various Nationalities to support the Noble Cause to serve the Humanity.

More than 135 people donated blood during the event that started from 1:00 pm and last till 6:00 pm. Refreshment in the form of Fresh Juices & Snacks were served to the participating donors along with a Official Memento from Pakistan Sports Association Kuwait.

Pakistan Sports Association Team would like to Thanks all Participants, Donors, Sponsors, Co-Sponsors, Volunteers, Executive Members, Media Partners, Community Supports and each single person who supported this Noble cause to serve the Humanity.

Pakistan Sports Association appreciated efforts of Team member including M.Younus Shahid, Farzan Tariq, Aqeel Khan, Waqas Ahmed, Sajid Hassan, Waseem Bajwa, Sami Javed, Yousef Naqvi, Sohaib Fouzi, Sajid Mahmoud, Khalil Ahmed, Tanveer Ahmed and Saad Ahmed in making this Event a success. Female Members in the Supervision of Dr.Attiya Anjum, Ms.Nadia Muhammad & Bushra Waqas did excellent job to facilitate all the Female Donors along with Teacher from ISP.
