Ministry of Interior Undersecretary Lieutenant General Sulaiman Fahad Al-Fahad on Wednesday chaired a meeting with assistant undersecretaries and directors general in charge of field activities, as well as security chiefs, to ensure safety of lives and properties during the inauguration of Sheikh Jaber AlAhmad International Stadium.
Al-Fahad affirmed the higher authority, represented by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khalid Al-Sabah, has provided all necessary facilities to guarantee the success of the inauguration ceremony. He went through all preparations, plans and security procedures, assuring complete commitment to the procedures.
During the meeting, all those present looked into the plans for protecting civilians, while responsibilities and duties were assigned to all concerned units for proper coordination. He urged the officials to prepare well for unforeseen circumstances in an appropriate manner. He reiterated that the security operatives should always be alert to thwart any possible security breach.
He indicated the national security requires absolute cooperation among security units, saying all top field officers are bound to manage their areas since they have prerogatives over their jurisdictions. He stressed that the police force should be more alert and cautious during the event.
Spectators attending the Friday opening of the Jaber Stadium will be offered 27,000 bottles of Kadhmah produced by the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR).
Executive Director of the Water Research Center at KISR Mohammad Fahd Al-Rashid added in a statement on Thursday that
KUNA adds:
they would offer the organizer committee 22,000 cartons containing 27,000 bottles.
Kadhmah is the first Kuwaiti bottled water produced by the treatment of salt water through beach wells, in line with the latest technology, he said.
According to Al-Rashid, Kadhmah, awarded the ISO, is subject to extensive tests by the center’s experts and German labs.
The Kadhma water factory was opened last November to enrich Kuwait’s strategic water reserves, with the capacity of 6,000 bottles an hour.
