Arab expat punctures driver’s eardrum

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 17: An Egyptian died after falling from the fourth floor of a building in Nugra, Hawally under mysterious circumstances.
According to security sources, the Operations Unit at the Interior Ministry received information on the incident so paramedics and securitymen were dispatched to the location immediately.
An eyewitness account revealed the Egyptian was seen throwing himself from the fourth floor of the building.
The initial report on the incident revealed the Egyptian committed suicide but investigation is underway to determine the actual circumstances leading to his death. His remains were referred to Forensics.
Driver assaulted:
A Lebanese expatriate assaulted the driver of a school bus and damaged his eardrum for not bringing his children to the family apartment in Hawalli area.
A security source said the victim— an Indian man, drives the bus of a private school.
He is said to have brought the children to their apartment earlier and knocked on the door but there was no response, so he returned them to the school.
The Lebanese became incensed and assaulted the driver for not leaving the children at the apartment, in the course of which he damaged the victim’s eardrum. A case was registered for investigation.
33 arrested:
Officers from Public Security Department arrested 33 people in Hawalli for various offenses. They were referred to relevant authorities.
The suspects were involved in various civil and criminal cases. Some of them had expired residency and others were running away from their sponsors, as well as drug related offenses.
