KUWAIT CITY, Dec 18: Fire razed a camp in Sulaibiya area and resulted in a huge material loss, although no human casualty was recorded.

A team of firemen was dispatched to the scene after the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry was notified about the incident. They managed to control the blaze.

Meanwhile, a youth was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of Jahra Hospital amid several stab wounds after he was attacked by three other youths. The victim is in critical condition, reports AlSeyassah daily.

A security source said the victim was stabbed several times during a quarrel with the three suspects who managed to flee the scene after the incident. However, patrolmen combed the area and arrested them in a record time. They were referred to relevant authoritie­s.

B’deshis arrested:

Several Bangladesh­is have been arrested by the immigratio­n officers for attempting to enter the country on forged Indian passports, reports AlShahed daily.

The daily added, the suspects had earlier been deported from the country and when they produced their Indian travel documents, they turned out to be forged.

Police then checked their baggage and found their original passports hidden in shoes.

The men have been deported from the country.

‘Unpleasant tunes’:

Anba daily. Police are investigat­ing. Meanwhile, the Salmiya police have arrested an unidentifi­ed Kuwaiti for posing as interior designer working for a well-known company and cheating a compatriot woman, reports Al-Rai daily.

In her complaint to the Salmiya Police Station the woman had told investigat­ors the man posed as interior designer and agreed to do work on her beauty parlor.

Both parties signed the contract for KD 28,000 and she alleged after receiving the money the man escaped and refused to answer calls.

The arrest came after the woman provided details about the suspect.

Fake diamond set:

The Salmiya police have arrested an unidentifi­ed jeweler for selling a fake diamond set to a Kuwaiti woman, reports AlShahed daily.

The arrest came after the woman offered the set for sale and the buyer after checking it found the quality of the diamonds was not worth the value. She had reportedly bought the set for KD 14,000.

Two caught drunk:

The Ahmadi police have arrested a young couple, who are believed to be either in their late teens or early 20s for drinking alcohol, reports AlRai daily.

The daily added, the arrests were made in Ali Sabah AlSalem. At the time of arrest, the couple was under the influence of alcohol. Police have seized from the car a bottle of imported alcohol.

Filipina robbed:

A Filipino woman has filed a complaint with the Salmiya Police Station, accusing a male compatriot of breaking into her apartment, assaulting her and stealing her money, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added, the man escaped with KD 560. She has submitted a medical report to substantia­te her claim.

Meanwhile, the owner of a café in Hawally, has filed a complaint with the Nugra Police Station accusing unidentifi­ed persons of breaking into the café and stealing KD 1,200, reports Al-Anba daily.
