KUWAIT CITY, Dec 18: The owner of a women’s salon filed a complaint at Nugra Police Station against a young Kuwaiti woman because the latter did not pay for the salon services provided to her.

According to the complainant, the young woman fled from the salon after completion of the salon services she requested without paying. Fortunately, the owner noted down the plate number of the vehicle that the woman used.

However, when the officers tracked down the owner of the vehicle, a 22-year-old Kuwaiti woman, she claimed her friend – a 29-yearold male compatriot – borrowed her car. When the officers asked the male compatriot, he said his girlfriend – a 25-year-old Kuwaiti woman – used the car when she went to the salon. He told the officers he didn’t know that his girlfriend did not pay for the salon services. He provided the officers with a detailed description of his girlfriend and the ensuing investigations revealed she had previously done the same in other salons.

A case was registered and investigations are still ongoing to arrest the suspect.

Meanwhile, Hawally securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti man for swindling a female compatriot to the tune of KD 28,000.

The complainant told police she had an agreement with the suspect for the interior decoration of her beauty salon but he disappeared after receiving the money. When her attempts to establish contact with the suspect proved futile, she decided to file a formal complaint at Salmiya Police Station.

A thorough investigation ensued, resulting in the arrest of the suspect who told the complainant that he is an interior designer but he purportedly provided a fake contract to the woman.
