Indian, Romanian expats die, several hurt in traffic accidents

Cement trailer flips over, driver injured

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 19: An Indian expatriate met his untimely death and two of his compatriot­s sustained various degrees of injuries in a traffic accident on Mina Abdullah Road, reports Al-Rai daily.

The three Indians were traveling in a car when it toppled. The two injured people were referred to Adan Hospital while the body was deposited to Forensics.

Meanwhile, a Romanian man died in a traffic accident on Sebiya Road, reports AlAnba daily.

A police source said five persons; two Romanians, two Egyptians and an Asian were traveling in the car when it flipped over. All injured people were referred to Jahra hospital for treatment, but the Romanian died in ICU.

Trailer overturns:

An Asian trailer driver sustained severe injuries and fractures when the cement trailer flipped along Kabad Road.

In a press statement, the Interior Ministry said firefighte­rs from Kabad Fire Station and paramedics rushed to the scene after the incident was reported to the Operations Room.

The rescue officers helped the driver out of the vehicle and handed him over to the paramedics who took him to the nearest hospital.

A case was registered and investigat­ions are ongoing to determine the actual circumstan­ces leading to the accident.
