‘Sing Galing Karoling’ grand finals on Dec 24

inoy Arabia FM, an Internetbased, non-profit community service radio station catering to the Filipinos in Kuwait, the Middle East and across the globe held the second and final week audition of “Sing Galing Karoling,” a Christmas Carol Singing competition on the radio for talented Filipinos aged 15 and above who want to showcase their singing prowess. After its highly successful “Sing Galing” singing competition held recently at the Discovery Live Theatre, avid listeners clamoured for a singing contest this holiday season.

Those who made it to the second weekly qualifying round and will compete in the grand finals on Dec 24 are Beljore Camello, Jhane Garcia, Arlene Frak, Avelino Domingo, Felipe Lobarbio and Roy Rutagines. Among the event’s sponsors are Mario’s Restaurant, Nelson Fernandez, Gina Mills, Radisson Blu Hotel and The Morning Talk.

The board of judges composed of voice coach Ricky Laxa and singing champ Jennifer Uy and Sing Galing Champ Mark Lopez rated the contestants based on their vocal quality (40%), performance (30%), timing (15%) and song interpretation (15%).

Pinoy Arabia FM has a live morning programme dubbed “Gandang Umaga Arabia” (Good Morning Arabia) from 7 am to 9 am with Randy Mendoza, Ben Garcia and Maxxy Santiago on board, Darling Dude from 9-11 am, DJ Spark from 5 pm-7 pm and DJ Mika and DJ Raymund from 7 pm to 9pm. Pinoy Arabia FM plays Filipino and English current and old hits 24 hours with regular guests from the Philippine Embassy to cater to community events and announcements.
