Police have taken into custody an unidentifi­ed Filipino woman for attacking her husband who is believed to be in his 40s, reports Al-Anba daily.

According to security sources the woman was arrested when the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received informatio­n about a man bleeding outside his home in a suburb of Salam, probably from a wound from his private part.

A medical report says he is suffering from a deep cut on his private part. He underwent a surgery and has been put under observatio­n of an urologist.

Two inhale smoke:

Two workers inhaled smoke and suffered breathing difficulty when fire engulfed 3,600 square/meters storage unit for rice in Shuwaikh Industrial Area. A huge material loss was recorded, says Al-Seyassah.

The Operations Room of the Fire Department was notified about fire and a team of firemen was dispatched to the scene. They managed to contain the fire and prevented it from spreading beyond 400 square/meters area. The affected workers were treated on the spot. A case was registered.

3 hurt in crash:

Traffic was brought to a standstill when a fuel tanker toppled and exploded on the Sixth Ring Road opposite Ishbiliya after colliding with a vehicle affiliated to Kuwaiti Municipali­ty. Three people were injured, says Al-Seyassah.

Acting on informatio­n, a rescue team reached the scene within three minutes and dealt with the leakage of oil. Paramedics attended to the injured people while traffic men removed the vehicles from the road, and traffic was restored.

‘Visit your mother’:

The Court of Appeals has ordered a citizen, believed to be a senior official in one of the vital ministries, to visit his mother three times a week because he is her only son and neither stays with her nor visits her, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The mother’s defense lawyer Muhammad Al-Ansari said although he won the case and the court ruled in favor of his client, he still feels the pain, because there was no need to file the lawsuit because the sons should be kind to their mothers.

Drug pills seized:

Customs officers at Kuwait Internatio­nal Airport foiled the attempt of a Syrian to smuggle 100,000 Copti narcotic pills hidden in cans for sweets, says Al-Seyassah.

The officers got suspicious as the Syrian looked agitated when he approached the luggage inspection counter. This prompted them to thoroughly inspect the luggage resulting in the discovery of the narcotics.
