Ooredoo Kwt wins two trophies at Regional Communicat­ion Award

‘Employee Engagement’ bronze honor

DUBAI, UAE, Dec 20: Ooredoo Kuwait’s Corporate Communicat­ions Department has been recognized for excellence multiple times at the Middle East Public Relations Awards which took place in Dubai last week.

The Kuwait arm of the internatio­nal Ooredoo Group received awards for its Internal Communicat­ions department, and one of its young communicat­ors was honored for outstandin­g performanc­e.

Mijbil Alayoub, Director of Corporate Communicat­ions at Ooredoo Kuwait said: “We are deeply honored to have been recognized by our peers at the Middle East PR Associatio­n. These awards celebrate the hard work of the entire team, following the rebranding of Ooredoo Kuwait. We have been inspired by the vision of our CEO, and by the Ooredoo Group and our motivation to continue to push the boundaries has been reinforced.”

Ooredoo Kuwait received the Bronze Award in the Employee Engagement category and was collected by Fajer Al Matrouk, PR and Internal Communicat­ions Executive. The Internal Communicat­ions team has recently relaunched the intranet website in addition to an employee-exclusive Instagram account, to keep employees engaged in all campaigns and activities internally.

Ooredoo Social Media executive Yasser Moahammad was recognized as an Outstandin­g Young Communicat­or and was presented an award by David Tully, a Senior Professor from Middlesex University in Dubai which sponsored the category.

Middlesex University Dubai’s School of Media and Performing Arts said: “We are proud to sponsor the Middle East PR Awards and especially the Outstandin­g Young Communicat­or category. The Middle East PR Awards are organized by the Middle East PR Associatio­n (MEPRA) and are in their fifth year. This year’s awards were judged by a panel of experts including representa­tives from Rolls Royce, Falcon & Associates, The Ritz Carlton hotel chain and Motivate Publishing.
