Zain concludes sponsorship of the 11th edition of GulfRun

‘GulfRun participants in Bahrain International Circuit’. KUWAIT CITY, March 26: Zain, the leading telecommunications company in Kuwait, concluded its main sponsorship of the 11th edition of GulfRun, the region’s most popular motorsport activity. The conclusion of this year’s GulfRun activities was marked by a final race that was held at Bahrain International Circuit.

Zain’s sponsorship of the latest edition of this unique motorsport event is in line with the company’s belief in supporting the youth and sports sectors, and encouraging the various sporting initiatives that cater to young people in Kuwait. The event witnessed an impressive participation of motorsport enthusiasts from across the region, both during the Kuwait and Bahrain phases.

GulfRun is considered an ideal and safe alternative to street racing, which threatens the lives of many people, many of them young drivers, every year. Motorsport enthusiasts were able to showcase their talents within professional and certified grounds during the final race at the Bahrain International Circuit, in addition to having taken ad- vantage of the opportunity to gain valuable insights with the help of qualified trainers and experienced professional instructors.

The latest GulfRun event in the Kingdom of Bahrain was considered to be a true test of participants’ motorsport skills, where they had the chance to take part in several training procedures in preparation for the final race that was extremely popular with professional and amateur racers alike.

To promote GulfRun in Kuwait before the event, several activities were held including an exciting Sport Cars Show that took place at Murooj, where participants showcased their exquisite high-speed cars and thrilled visitors. Additionally, two Karting Endurance races (12-hour and 24-hour) were held at Kuwait’s SIRBB Circuit as part of the program that attracted a large, thrillseeking crowd.
