State reserves to serve country:

-

While relevant sources insist on the right of the Government to draw on State reserves estimated at KD 180 billion to serve the country’s interests, Member of Parliament and Chairman of the National Assembly Budgets and Final Accounts Committee Adnan Abdulsamad has said the issue of financing the State budget from State reserves is not established as yet, and it depends on the expected revenues and expenditure.

In a statement, MP Abdulsamad mentioned that the national budget is prepared on the basis of financing it from the State reserve, indicating the concerned body (government) pumps oil and non-oil revenues into the public reserve fund, and after calculating the estimated expenditure, it automatically finances any expected deficit from the public reserve through the Central Bank of Kuwait.
