echinacea purpurea
Echinacea purpurea also known as eastern purple coneflower or purple coneflower is native to eastern north America. It produces cone-shaped flowering heads. The petals droop after growing outward from the cone. Depending on the climate, it begins to bloom in late May or early July.
Site: Coneflowers enjoy a sunny location. Temperature: 60 -68°F.
Water: As the roots of the plant are vulnerable to damage from water, the soil must drain well.
