About 20 top officials in the Finance Ministry, who failed to perform their duties efficiently, will either be referred for retirement or removed from their positions in April, reports Annahar daily quoting sources.
Sources revealed the ministry is closely monitoring the performance of top officials, indicating such a move might increase the number of officials regarded as a hindrance to the implementation of reforms to 200.
Sources confirmed the ministry has started taking steps towards the implementation of the economic reform plan it submitted to the National Assembly recently as per the instructions of Deputy Premier, Minister of Finance and acting Minister of Oil Anas Al-Saleh. Sources said the minister needs more time to implement the reform plan, considering his tasks and that of the newly-appointed top officials are not easy.
