Large number of people visit PACI before ID fee hike
Director General of the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) Eng Musaed Al-Asousi revealed that an unprecedented number of citizens and expatriates visited its headquarters on Thursday to meet the deadline before the fee for collecting civil ID cards is increased from KD 2 to KD 5 on Sunday.
He said PACI had repeatedly urged concerned citizens and expatriates, whose cards were ready for collection, to collect them quickly, disclosing that PACI had envisaged such a huge crowd prior to the deadline and had thus increased the number of staff on duty to deal with the situation.
Eng Al-Asousi thanked the staff for working under such huge pressure and for ensuring the processes were carried out smoothly.
