Indoor soccer tourney to be held under auspices of Ahmadi governor
Organizing Committee for the First Indoor Soccer Tournament of Cooperative Societies in Ahmadi Governorate slated for April 11-13 convened a coordinating meeting Wednesday at the Governor’s office.
In a statement, Director of Public Relations and chairman of the committee Hamid Al-Ibrahim said the tournament will be patronized by the governorate under the auspices of Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Fawaz Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, in collaboration with the cooperative societies and Ahmadi Educational Zone.
He revealed that the tournament will strengthen brotherliness among the residents, and hopes the initiative will be sustained annually.
A draw was conducted at the meeting where the participating teams were divided into two groups. Each group constituted seven teams, while each team contained eight under-18 players with a coach, supervisor and team manager.
