Ahmadi governor vows help, support for livestock sector

Bid to remove obstacles of farm workers

KUWAIT CITY, April 1: Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Fawaz Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received in his office the Head of Board of Directors of Livestock Society Hamoud Salman Al-Nasafi.

During the meeting, he affirmed the importance of the livestock sector in the country’s economic developmen­t, and insisted on the need to execute necessary projects for developing this sector and providing required services to the farm owners and workers.

The governor stressed the keenness of Ahmadi Governorat­e to offer necessary help and support to the livestock sector in Wafra area and to remove all obstacles faced by the farm owners and workers.

Meanwhile, Al-Nasafi elaborated the obstacles that the livestock pen owners in Wafra area experience. He spoke about the project for constructi­ng a service complex on an area of 15,000 square meters which will include a central society for meeting the needs of the workers. He revealed that the constructi­on took nine months for completion but they are waiting for the approval of Kuwait Municipali­ty to start providing services.

Al-Nasafi revealed that they requested undersecre­tary of Ministry of Public Works to ensure there are entrance and exit roads to and from the main roads and to use the areas between the buildings of the complex as parking areas.

He said they have asked undersecre­tary of Ministry of Electricit­y and Water to construct electrical poles around the project site and also undersecre­tary of Ministry of Health to build a medical center for providing medical services to the workers.
