Citizen wanted for assaulting securitymen arrested; 3 criminals nabbed

KUWAIT CITY, April 1: Ministry of Interior intends to release many police and traffic patrol vehicles of different designs on the roads from April 15, reports Al-Anba daily quoting a security source.

He said the relevant department of the ministry presented all requirements few days ago for changing the colors of the patrol vehicles such that the police patrol vehicles are of colors black and yellow, general security patrol vehicles white and grey and traffic patrol vehicles white, yellow and blue.

The source revealed that all patrol vehicles will have the logo of Ministry of Interior.

was wanted by law for assaulting securitymen and for damaging state properties by drawing graffiti.

In a press release issued by Ministry of Interior, the Public Relations and Security Media Department explained that the suspect, who lives in Khaitan area, is wanted by law for a number of cases of assaulting securitymen. After carrying out investigations over a case related to an incident in Abdullah Al-Salem area, the suspect was arrested and his vehicle was seized. Securitymen found several painting equipment including paint in his vehicle.

He was referred with the confiscated items to the General Department of Criminal Evidences for investigations. He confessed that he uses the equipment to draw graffiti in several locations.

3 criminals nabbed:

Three Bedoun notorious criminals, who were wanted by law for evading judicial verdicts, were arrested in possession of firearms and 19 rounds of bullets.

According to the Public Relations and Security Media Department of Ministry of Interior, a team of officers from Sulaibiya, Jahra and Na’eem police stations was formed and it embarked on a security campaign in the area based on directives from top authority of Jahra Security Directorate. The officers obtained arrest warrants before seizing the three criminals.

The suspects were referred with the confiscated firearms to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.
