Theft incident ‘staged’:
Detectives from the Capital Investigation Department uncovered the plan of a Bedoun man and his Kuwaiti wife regarding the alleged stealing of KD 35,000 from their car which, according to the couple, happened at the parking area of the Justice Palace.
Security sources revealed the Bedoun called the Operations Unit in the Interior Ministry to report the theft, claiming the window of his car was broken by an unknown person who walked away with KD 35,000.
The Bedoun told police he withdrew the money from his bank account to deliver it to a creditor (Kuwaiti) who was waiting for him at the Justice Palace in return for the cancellation of the case that the latter filed against him.
When the citizen saw the cash withdrawal slip, he decided to cancel the case and then accompanied the Bedoun to his car to receive the cash, but upon reaching the car, they found it was burglarized and the Bedoun said the money was stolen.
