Kuwait to host 6th renewable energy conference on Monday
400 foreign experts to participate
KUWAIT CITY, April 2, (KUNA): The 6th Middle East and North Africa Renewable Energy Conference (MENAREC-6) will take off in Kuwait on Monday, amid wide international participation.
The three-day event, to be hosted by the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR), will bring together up to 400 specialists and experts from the MENA region, head of the MENAREC-6 Preparatory Committee Dr Saad Al-Jandal said in a press statement on Saturday.
Participants will discuss the scientific and practical means to develop research in energy sources, and supporting services aiming to achieve the aspired goals, Al-Jandal said in a press statement.
Themed “Renewable Innovations towards Sustainable Energy”, the 6th session also reviews the world’s major experiences in industries related to the natural reserves in the MENA region seeking to boost investments in the field.
The conference will also shed light on the latest technology in solar energy, wind power and hydroelectricity as well as issues related to supply and demand.
Alongside the conference, a world-class exhibition, Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RE3), will allow scores of companies to showcase their expertise, latest technology and services directly to an audience of key decision makers drawn from major countries from in the region.
