Costa Coffee launches new exclusive menu items

Wholesome, fresh ingredients

-

KUWAIT CITY, April 2: Costa Coffee, London’s favourite coffee shop chain and part of Alghanim Industries Food and Beverage portfolio, has announced the launch of a new specialised menu that will be rolled out across its stores in Kuwait on March 13. The popular UK coffee chain is known for its handcrafted products and passion for quality coffee, all while satisfying its customers with wholesome and fresh ingredients.

The new exclusive items on the menu have been created in collaboration with the world-renowned and professional baker, author, television and radio celebrity, Dean Brettschneider, who has made a name for himself in the international world of artisan baking via his own brand, Global Bakery. Commenting on his partnership with Costa Coffee, Chef Dean said, “Working with Costa Coffee was a natural fit, they are very passionate about their coffee and I am very passionate about bakery-inspired food. In my mind, great coffee deserves great food, it’s as simple as that.

Working with a focused and dedicated team, together we have refined the food range to reflect the rich heritage of bakery products and at the same time not losing our sights of subtle local influences. The magic of baking is all about taste, flavours, textures, and awakening all of your senses with a fresh look at food”, adding, “You will taste many new world flavours combined in traditional baking styles … baking is alive and should be fun”.

Specialty

Some of the new specialty items that will be served at Costa Coffee include halloumi with Turkish pita, Bombolone (custard, Lotus, or plain with sugar), scones with spinach, feta, or pumpkin, and Strawberry Lamington. Other items include the classics of which Chef Dean is most known for, such as the carrot cake, chocolate cake and Danish treats. Many of these items were sampled at the official opening of Costa’s new flagship store at Sheikha Complex on March 2.

Speaking about Costa’s mission, Haamed Alfulaij, General Manager of Costa Coffee Kuwait, said, “Alghanim Industries prides itself on its customer centricity, and we at Costa live up to that philosophy. By placing our customers first, providing them with only the freshest of ingredients, handcrafted coffee, and now a world-renowned chef to launch this exciting new menu, we set ourselves apart from the competition. We already serve some of the best coffee in the country, and we can confidently say that after this launch, our food will be just as good because Kuwait deserves nothing less”.

Photos of the new items are available on various social media channels of Costa Coffee, under the name CostaKuwait on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat.

Costa is the UK’s No. 1 coffee shop with over 2000 stores in the UK and over 1,000 internationally. The brand is already present across more than 30 countries and growing at a rapid rate. The brand currently operates in 34 locations across Kuwait and has a number of outlets slated to open across the country over the next year, including its first drive-thru at The Dining and at Salmiya Boulevard Mall.

Alghanim Industries acquired Costa Kuwait in July 2013. Since then, Costa Coffee has been focusing on customer service, refurbishing existing stores, opening new ones around Kuwait and refreshing and broadening its product range.
