Mercedes-Kuwait customers experience AMG world of ‘Driving Performance’
Power, speed & agility of exceptional machines showcased in Abu Dhabi
KUWAIT CITY, April 3: A.R. Albisher & Z. Alkazemi — the Authorized General Distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Kuwait — has treated a group of its most loyal AMG customers to an ultimate track driving experience at the 2016 AMG World of Driving Performance. With the most impressive line-up of Mercedes-AMG vehicles to date, the lucky customers were flown to the UAE to experience the full force of AMG in its natural environment - the Yas Marina Formula 1 Circuit in Abu Dhabi.
The AMG World of Driving Performance 2016 saw participants experiencing the unrivalled thrill of testing the ‘Driving Performance’ of MercedesAMG dream cars in an environment that showcased the power, speed and agility of these exceptional machines. Performance included an impressive line-up of models: A 45, CLA 45, GLA 45, C 63 S, C 450 S, GLE 63, GLE 63 Coupe, GLE 450 S, GLS 63, G 63 and the AMG GT S.

Upon arrival and check-in to the hotel, Kuwaiti customers congregated on the track and in the pit for a 5pm start. The first hour included a formal opening and welcome for customers, a

short briefing, theoretical and vehicular introductions, and the grouping of drivers ahead of a memorable twilight session. For the next two and a half exhilarating hours, Kuwaiti customers had the opportunity to participate in the Race Track Experience Lead and Follow Full Track courses in AMG GT S, C 63 and SL 63 models and learn new skills in a set of drift and drag races. First off, the Drift Competition in a C 63 allowed drivers to enhance their personal repertoire of skills, while the Drag Race in a range of G 63 AMG, GLS 63 AMG, GLE 63 AMG and GLE 63 coupe , the new suv range tested the skill and performance taking the drivers to the limit. The Autocross showcased the AMG 43 engine vehicles, and allowed drivers to put their skills to the test against the clock.
After a sit down dinner with special chef and chance for drivers to exchange results, the second and most competitive round of Race Track Experience Lead and Follow Full Track courses, Drift, Drag and Autocross competitions took place. The heated competition continued for another two and a half hours until midnight closing ceremony, before drivers bid each other farewell feeling accomplished and energised.
An annual event and greatly anticipated highlight on the calendars of AMG enthusiasts across the region, the 2016 AMG World of Driving Performance offers unprecedented access to participants to fully experience the ‘Driving Performance’ across the portfolio of AMG vehicles.
