ANAHEIM, California, April 3, (AP): Albert Pujols hit a three-run homer, Mike Trout had a tiebreaking three-run double, and the Los Angeles Angels beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-1 Saturday night to complete a three-game sweep of the preseason Freeway Series.

Nick Tropeano allowed a run and five hits in four innings while throwing 73 pitches. The right-hander, who will begin the season at Triple-A Salt Lake, was 2-0 with a 6.48 ERA in five spring starts.

The Angels loaded the bases in the fourth when Alex Wood gave up a twoout single by Yunel Escobar and walked Craig Gentry with his 68th and final pitch. Zach Lee came on to face Trout, who doubled to left-center on a 1-1 pitch to give the Halos a 4-1 lead.

Lee was still on the mound when Pujols drove a 2-2 pitch into the lower seats in the left field corner with two outs. It was the 15th anniversary of Pujols’ major league debut with the St Louis Cardinals.

Pujols, who will make $27 million this season, is batting .278 with six homers, 15 RBIs and one game remaining on the team’s exhibition schedule and is eagerly anticipating Monday’s season opener.

Wood was charged with four runs and eight hits in 3-2/3 innings. The lefthander finished his spring 0-3 with a 7.13 ERA in five starts.

Marlins 2, Yankees 1 In Miami, Giancarlo Stanton drove in two runs and Miami beat the New York Yankees 2-1 Saturday at Marlins Park in the final spring training game for both clubs.

Yankees reliever Andrew Miller made his first appearance since breaking a bone in his non-throwing wrist on Wednesday. The lefty faced three batters, walking one and striking out one.

New York’s Luis Severino pitched five innings, allowing three hits and one earned run. He struck out six and walked one. He posted a 1.35 ERA over his final five spring appearances.

Jacoby Ellsbury homered and singled in two at-bats for the Yankees.

Yankees reliever Aroldis Chapman, who will begin the season serving a 30game suspension, loaded the bases, but struck out Aaron Nola to get out of the jam.

Nationals 8, Twins 8 In Washington, there they all were on Saturday a little past noon, just as they were supposed to be, heading from the home dugout at Nationals Park to their appointed defensive positions for the top of the first inning of Washington’s final exhibition game, an 8-8 tie against the Minnesota Twins.

Jayson Werth in left field, Anthony Rendon at third base and Ryan Zimmerman at first, the sort of thing that is not supposed to be a big deal but turned out to be a luxury last season, when injuries played a role in the Nationals’ flop: The team had its ideal lineup available for a grand total of only two out of 162 games in 2015. Zimmerman and new second baseman Daniel Murphy homered on
