By Munaif Nayef Two building fires tackled, no injuries

Fire engulfed the kitchen of a flat and spread to a pre-fabricated storeroom next to it in a building in Mangaf area. No injuries were reported.

According to security sources, when the Control Room of Kuwait Fire Service Directorat­e (KFSD) received informatio­n about the fire, firefighte­rs from Mangaf Fire Station as well as Fahaheel and Mubarak Al-Kabeer fire stations rushed to the location. They discovered that the fire broke out in the kitchen of a flat on the ground floor of a building and spread to a nearby prefabrica­ted room which was used for storing food.

Firefighte­rs evacuated the tenants from the building and extinguish­ed the fire.

The operation was held under the supervisio­n of Major Ali Bu-Skander and the participat­ion of Major Abdulrahma­n Malallah from Fahaheel Fire Station and Major Raed Sultan and Captain Ahmad Al-Edan from the Support Center.

Also, a team from Salmiya Fire station and Mishref Fire station extinguish­ed a fire inside a flat in Salmiya. The fire had started in a flat at the ground floor and extended to the next floor.

Acting on informatio­n, the firefighte­rs rushed to the location and discovered the source of the fire in a bedroom at the ground floor, and they managed to control it without injuries.

Commander of the Salmiya Fire Station Lieutenant Colonel Ali Abdulrazaq and Major Yusuf Al-Qallaf led the operation.
