Boy commits suicide after failing in exams

KUWAIT CITY, May 23: A 14-year old Syrian boy committed suicide by hanging himself with a cloth sheet inside the flat of his family in Hawally area following an argument between him and his family over his bad performanc­e in examinatio­ns.

Securityme­n and paramedics rushed to the location after the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received informatio­n that a Syrian juvenile committed suicide from hanging himself from the ceiling of his room using a cloth sheet. They pulled down the victim and examined him to discover he was dead. They referred the corpse to the Forensics Department. According to sources, investigat­ions revealed that the boy was suffering from some domestic problems. When he had failed in his school examinatio­ns, he did not find any option other than committing suicide.

Necessary action was taken and the victim’s parents have been referred for investigat­ions.

Meanwhile, an Egyptian died and three other persons were injured when the bus they were riding overturned on Soor Street in Kuwait City.

Paramedics and securityme­n rushed to the location after the Operations Unit at the Interior Ministry received informatio­n on the accident. The Egyptian’s remains were referred to Forensics while the injured were taken to Amiri Hospital. In another incident, an individual sustained injuries when his car flipped over the Sixth Ring Road. The injured was rushed to Farwaniya Hospital.
