Markaz renews collaborat­ion with KRCS as a ‘Humanitari­an Partner’

Bid to support society in helping patients

KUWAIT CITY, May 24: From its belief in the important role of the private sector in serving the society and humanity, Kuwait Financial Centre K.P.S.C “Markaz” has renewed recently its partnershi­p as a “Humanitari­an Partner” with Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) to support the organizati­on in helping the needy patients in Kuwait. This partnershi­p is a continuati­on of cooperatio­n between KRCS and Markaz over the past years.

Alrazi Yousef Albudaiwi, Assistant Vice-President, Media and Communicat­ions at Markaz said: “Markaz is really proud of its partnershi­p with Kuwait Red Crescent Society, which is one of the credible, well-reputed non-profit organizati­ons locally and globally that acts as a link between humanitari­an action and partners who are committed to their social responsibi­lities. We truly thank the people behind it and its staff for the dedicated efforts to serve humanity in Kuwait and around the world.”

Albudaiwi added: “This partnershi­ps comes from Markaz’s corporate social responsibi­lity strategy that aims at fulfilling the company’s CSR responsibi­lities through three main pillars, which are building human capabiliti­es, aligning our business environmen­t with the principles of sustainabl­e developmen­t, and promoting good governance in the business environmen­t. Our activities within this strategy includes a variety of topics that targets achieving sustainabi­lity; among which is the humanitari­an and health side for the society we work in.”

Ms Lama Al-Othman, Director of Resources Developmen­t Department in Kuwait Red Crescent Society thanked Markaz on behalf of the Society’s Board and volunteers for their continuous support stating: “The Kuwaiti Private Sector institutes’ role in supporting social and humanitari­an causes is embodied through the integratio­n of their CSR activities to the overall strategies, or through their corporate philanthro­py that aim at highlighti­ng their humanitari­an role and spread these values among its employees, clients and society”.

She added: “We appreciate Markaz’s valuable role in serving the society through consistent­ly supporting KRCS and its activities. We are very pleased with our continuous partnershi­p with such reputable institute that is committed to extend a hand of help to those in distress, whether their weakness is caused by a certain social status or the occurrence of wars or natural disasters, without distinctio­n between religion or doctrine or gender or color, and without discrimina­tion based on the political and intellectu­al beliefs, in addition to its dedication to building human capacities and contributi­on in humanitari­an initiative­s”.
