KUWAIT CITY, May 24: The Al Mulla Group Sunday concluded a special training program for Kuwaitis working in the company.

There are more than 300 Kuwaitis working in the private sector as part of Al Mulla Group of companies. This year the company has nominated sixty Kuwaitis for a special program ranging from thirteen different disciplines in different areas. Last week they finished the first out of these thirteen programs. There are continuous programs some of the employees will be training in two or three different sectors and the others will have more than four to five programs.

“We hope that these Kuwaitis will benefit as partners of Al Mulla Group and they can be successful in their work to improve their skills, work output and perhaps have better career paths in the future. That is why we have signed with manpower agency in Kuwait and with a special company which does these programs called Daqat.”

Collaborated

“These are the two outside institutions which have collaborated with Al Mulla Group and successfully launched this training program. The program started May 16, running daily till May 22. It is four to five hours of continuous classroom work,” said Abdullah Najib Al Mulla, Chief Administrative Officer, Al Mulla Group.

There were few programs of this nature in the past which were on much smaller scale. Today it is the largest as far as the number of people being covered and as far as the detailed program for the entire thirteen weeks. The number of Kuwaitis being covered is sixty; usually there are smaller programs, four or seven people, lasting a few days, not even a week.

Dr Ayoub Khaled Alayoub, Assistant Undersecretary in the Amiri Diwan, delivered the lecture to the trainees on Sunday. Among some of the programs they’re training in are mind mapping, how to deal with different personalities, how to write a report in a proper and professional way, as well as something related to personnel and management skills.

Omjud Al Kandary, handling the recruitment and training in the group, is the key person for arranging such a program. She has been on top of the program, attending them and making sure it is on the right track, receiving feedback from Kuwaitis who have joined the program to make sure that they’re satisfied.

In the past, the program had been restricted to just five or seven people, but now the coverage has been widened to include as many as sixty people.

Out of more than 12,000 Al Mulla Group employees, 300 are Kuwaitis and they are the ones entitled to attend these programs. The aim is to give them a better career path to encourage them to work in the group and the private sector.
