Gutsy performance

ABU DHABI, May 24: Eight-yearold Emirati, Rashid Al Dhaheri continues to fly the UAE flag high in one of the most competitive junior series’ in Italy taking the top spot for a second weekend in a row in the Rookie Category of the 2016 Parolin Championkart series. Despite starting the final race in P7, Rashid put in a gutsy performance which saw him make his way through the field to claim top honour at Pista Rioveggio near Bolgna, Italy, on Sunday.

and putting Brady’s four-game suspension back in the hands of the courts, the players’ union asked all 13 judges of the 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals to hear the case that a three-judge panel decided in the league’s favor.

In the appeal filed on Monday, Brady’s lawyers said that Commissioner Roger Goodell’s “biased, agenda-driven, and self-approving ‘appeal’ ruling must be vacated.”

The 2-1 decision by the panel, they wrote, “will fuel unpredictability in labor arbitrations everywhere and make labor arbitration increasingly capricious and undesirable for employers and employees alike.”

The NFL did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Brady was initially suspended four games for what Goodell said was an illegal scheme to use improperly inflated footballs in the 2015 AFC championship game.

In a grueling 3 days of racing Rashid completed over 40 sessions and around 250 kms, alongside 100 other drivers admist constantly changing track and weather conditions. As a result, qualifying on Sunday proved to be a challenge for the Abu Dhabi schoolboy who had to settle for P9, albeit only half a second adrift of the pole position time — indicating just how close the field is in the Championkart series. In the Pre-Final Al Dhaheri moved up three places to P6 at one point before dropping back to P7 as a result of a technical issue.Starting the Final in P7, Al Dhaheri put in an almost flawless performance, staying out of trouble while retaining a blistering pace throughout. He fought his way to P3 overall, in a tense and exciting race, and with it claimed Rashid Al-Dhaheri lifts the trophy after winning Rookie Category of the 2016 Parolin ChampionkartSeries in Italy.the top prize in the Rookie Category for a second successive week.Team manager and ex Formula 3 champion Fausto Ippoliti commented on Rashid’s race weekend: “It was not an easy race weekend for Rashid. It was a new track, with tricky weather conditions which kept changing from session to session; we also had a few technical issues on Sunday morning before the final race. However despite all these challenges Rashid kept cool throughout and delivered great performance.”
