‘Qualitative education is assurance for human resource competence’
Training course launched for students from Civil Engineering Institute
KUWAIT CITY, May 25: Director of the National Agency for Academic Accreditation and Education Quality Assurance Dr Nouriya Al-Awadhi affirmed that societies cannot grow in the absence of monitoring and high education quality assurance, reports Al-Anba daily.
She explained that qualitative education is assurance for human resource competence and considered the real investment capital of a country. It’s impossible to build the future of a nation without policies to achieve quality education programs.
She also said the issue of qualitative education has been enjoying exceedingly high rate of focus within the educational and academic circles across the world, and the focus is not only on the status and reputation of academic institutions but close link with development.
She stressed the quality of higher education products internally and externally is fundamental axle for effective development of both public and private sectors. She reiterated the issue of bogus certificate is partly due to a massive fraudulent market and illegitimate achievements, and Kuwait should be protected from its dangers.
Meanwhile, a training course for a group of students from Civil Engineering Institute affiliated to the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) was launched in Sabah Al-Salem University with the cooperation of the Construction Program of Kuwait University.
According to a press release, the training course is being held from May 22 to June 16 and is aimed for improving the skills of Kuwaiti youth to take over field work in Kuwait.
Coordinator of the Construction Program Rema Al-Samsam said the course represents an important step for enabling graduates to take up field work by providing them necessary skills and practical experience.
In the meantime, head of the Field Training Office at the Construction Program Eng Anwar Al-Ghanim said this is not the first time the Construction Program and PAAET are coordinating for training purposes.
In addition, a representative from the Civil Engineering Institute Eng. Ahmad Dashti said the training course is a golden opportunity for students to learn about the processes and finals steps that follow constructional activities.
