BSK holds Sports Awards Evening
The British School of Kuwait (BSK) held its annual Sports Awards evening where student athletes and parents were invited to celebrate the fantastic success of the BSK sporting programme, where 9 championships trophies were on show amongst a host of other awards for the school.
BSK were crowned Champions of the Under 13 Boys’ Football; Champions
Photos from the event of the Open Age Boys’ Football; Champions of the Under 15 Boys’ Volleyball; Champions of the Open Age Boys’ Basketball; Champions of the OA Girls’ Football; Champions of the Under 13 Girls’ Basketball; Champions of the Under 15 Girls’ Basketball; Champions of the Open Age Girls’ Basketball and Champions of the Open Age Girls’ Netball during the academic year 20152016. During the evening, BSK were delighted to present an Outstanding Contribution to Sport Award to Ms Najla Al-Jeraiwi, for her notable success in the sport of triathlon, and using her position in the community to influence others into sporting activity. Special mentions should also be made to our main award winners. Unsung hero went to Year 6 student Matthew Hall, Sportsperson of the Year (Female) to Anja Knjazeva, Sportsperson of the Year (Male) to Youssef El-Kasaby and the Lifetime Achievement Award went to Nathan Gevao.
The evening also allowed the fantastic work of the PE and coaching teams to be celebrated in a year where BSK won more ISACK titles than any other school in the country.
