‘Sound of Music’: The concert on May 27 at the Indian Embassy Kuwait will feature Shrikant Narayan and Nirupama Dey. The music is composed by Sanjay Marathe. The gates will open at 5:00 pm and the concert will kick off at 5:30 pm. The entry is restricted by invitation­s only.

Sound of Music will be a truly unique concept that entertains as well as enlightens the listener, because the ultimate goal of music is to elevate the spirit and quieten the mind, enriching life in the process.

Treasure of Talents: The Kuwait Music Academy announces that the Treasure of Talents Festival Gala Concert will be held on Friday, May 27, at 7:00 pm at the Al-Shaheed Park, Multipurpo­se Concert Hall, Visitor Centre, between the 1st Ring Road and Al Sour Street.

Performing at the event will be the wellknown Kuwait star prodigy, the young Chinese who is the winner of several internatio­nal music competitio­ns in Kuwait and the Gulf region — Hai Wei Li — piano, violin & vocal.

Also performing at the event will be Kinga Masternak, soprano singer and pianist and Inna Agibalova on piano and the Student of the Year 2016, Teji Wang (piano & flute).

The program includes vocal, piano, violin and flute works by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Puccini, Rachmanino­ff, Debussy, Martin and the popular Kuwaiti songs.

The major sponsors are KGL Holding, KMC, Tanagra, CSCEC & Al-Shaheed Park. The admission is free for the whole day event — the Open Stage Concert for Young Musical Talents — which begins at 11:00 am with the participat­ion of 120 enthusiast­s.

The Treasure of Talents Festival gives unique opportunit­y for young talented musicians in Kuwait to showcase their passion and achievemen­ts on the discipline which greatly develops the young intellectu­ally and emotionall­y but it is for the society to discover and support their talents which is the real treasure of every society.
