WASHINGTON, May 26, (AFP): US rookie defender Ken Tribbett equalized in the 75th minute to give the Philadelphia Union a 2-2 draw with visiting Orlando City in a Major League Soccer match Wednesday.

Aided by Brazilian striker Kaka missing on a penalty kick for Orlando, the Eastern Conferenceleading Union stretched its unbeaten streak to six games, with two triumphs and four draws in the run. The Union improved to 5-3 with four drawn for 19 points, two better than New York City FC.

Former AC Milan and Real Madrid standout Kaka failed from the spot in the 37th minute as his right-footed shot was saved from the bottom left side of goal by Union goalkeeper Andre Blake.

After a scoreless first half, Philadelphia midfielder Tranquillo Barnetta opened the scoring, the Swiss veteran of 10 Bundesliga seasons blasting a right-footed shot high into the net.

Orlando City answered through Trinidadian midfielder Kevin Molino in the 68th minute and Canadian forward Cyle Larin gave the visitors the lead in the 71st off a set-up pass from Kaka.

But that set the stage for Tribbett deadlocking the match again four minutes later and the teams battled to the finish without changing the scoreline. Spanish defender David Mateos of Orlando City was shown a red card in the third minute of second half stoppage time but the Union could not convert with the extra man in the dying seconds.

Orlando City moved to 3-3 with six drawn for 15 points to remain sixth in the East, closing within one point of Toronto, Montreal and the New York Red Bulls.
