KUWAI CITY, July 26: MP Hamoud Al-Hamdan has forwarded queries to Minister of Commerce and Industry Yusuf Ali on the non-implementation of Livestock Company Law number 29/2015.

He pointed out the law, which was issued on June 8, 2015 at Seif Palace, stipulates the establishment of a shareholding company for livestock trading. He said Article Two of the law mandates the government to establish the company within six months after its issuance, so he wants to know why the law has not been implemented until now.

Meanwhile, MP Ahmed Lari proposed coordination between the State Ministry for Youth Affairs, Civil Service Commission (CSC) and the Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP) to offer practical training courses for the graduates of universities, colleges and institutes. He said these courses will enhance the practical skills that the graduates need to work temporarily in the government, companies and banks until they get a permanent job.

He explained this will help young people avoid problems and bad companions, as they will engage in worthwhile activities while waiting for job opportunities. He added the graduates will also acquire practical skills through their temporary work, benefit from the monthly stipend, and gain competitive edge once they apply for permanent jobs.

In another development, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Mubarak Al-Khureinej has asked Health Minister Dr Ali al-Obeidi to quickly solve the problems of Kuwaiti patients in the United States of America. He claimed the Kuwaiti Health Office in the USA does not care about the health of citizens undergoing treatment there. He added he is confident that the minister will take the necessary action immediately to end the suffering of Kuwaiti patients in the US.
